Instant Expert vs Adapt.io: build a list or request a conversation?
Compare Adapt.io’s prospecting plans, export options and daily limits with Instant Expert’s paid calls and replies.
Adapt.io is a prospect-list tool. Instant Expert is a way to find people and invite them to a paid call or reply. Adapt is useful when you know whom you want to sell to and need contact data. Instant Expert is useful when your next step is a specific conversation.
Building the list in Adapt
Adapt offers company and contact filters, specialized technology sectors and searches within a list of company websites. You can use those to narrow a broad market such as “technology companies” to a more relevant group. Adapt prospecting
Suppose you sell software to warehouse-robotics companies. Start with the relevant sector, then look at a few companies before exporting contacts. A business that makes robots and a consultancy that implements them may use similar language but buy different products. Once the companies fit, select the people whose work your product affects.
Pay attention to the daily limit
Adapt’s monthly plan page showed the following on September 26, 2026:
| Plan | Monthly price | Email credits | Daily contact limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 25 | 25 |
| Starter | $49 | 500 | 50 |
| Basic | $99 | 1,000 | 100 |
Starter includes CSV export. Basic adds phone credits and CRM export; Custom has a quoted price and includes API access. Check the daily limit as well as the monthly allowance if you need to prepare a list for a near-term campaign. Adapt pricing
Instant Expert shows an offer for each selected recipient. The price is attached to the proposed call or reply, rather than an allowance of contact records.
When talking first would help
If you do not yet understand how a robotics installation is handed from engineering to the operations team, exporting more names will not answer that question. Look for someone who has worked on that handoff and make the topic clear:
I’m researching warehouse-robotics installations. Would you take a paid 30-minute call about an installation you worked on, especially what the operations team needed before taking over?
Read the person’s background before adding them to a draft. Use the conversation to establish what they personally handled. Choose a reply instead if you only need a short answer, such as which role takes responsibility after installation; the recipient can respond in text or voice.
Bringing an Adapt list across
Export the selected contacts and import the CSV into Instant Expert. Each row needs name plus company, email or LinkedIn URL. This is a manual handoff, not an automatic Adapt integration.
Review the people, request and prices before sending. If the invitation is for a product demonstration, say so directly. Start with Instant Expert for the conversation; keep Adapt for the continuing work of building prospect lists.
