Compare AmazingHiring technical profile search and outreach with Instant Expert paid candidate introductions, including what to check in a sourcing demo.

Instant Expert EditorialPublished Updated 3 min read

If you need to find engineers whose work appears across developer communities and professional profiles, evaluate AmazingHiring. If you want to invite particular people to a paid conversation about your role, consider Instant Expert. One helps you build and contact a technical shortlist; the other lets you offer compensation for a specific exchange.

What AmazingHiring provides

AmazingHiring brings together profiles from GitHub, Stack Overflow, Kaggle, LinkedIn and other sources. It offers skill and experience filters, contact information, email campaigns and a Chrome extension that displays linked accounts while you browse a profile.

That combination is useful when a job title tells you little about someone's technical work. It also gives a recruiter a way to run outreach after finding people.

The product page checked on September 26, 2026 asks buyers to request a demo and does not show a subscription price. Ask for the cost of your seats, contact access, campaigns and required ATS integration. The free extension does not establish the price of the full platform.

Make the demo answer a real hiring question

Suppose you need an engineer who can maintain a production recommendation system. A public modelling notebook may show relevant skills, but it does not tell you whether its author deployed a service or handled failures after launch.

Give the vendor that requirement and inspect a few results together:

  • Which work suggests the person has operated a production system?
  • How recent is that experience, and what did the person personally do?
  • Do the linked accounts clearly belong to the same person?

You are checking whether the search helps you explain a shortlist to your hiring manager. Public activity is useful evidence, but engineers who work in private repositories may have little to show publicly.

What a paid introduction adds

Instant Expert lets you search for professional experience or import people you already know by email, LinkedIn URL, or name and company. Select recipients, review their individual offers, and request a paid call or reply. Reply recipients choose text or voice.

For the engineering role, offer a 15-minute introductory call. Include the actual salary range, location and production responsibilities. A useful invitation could ask: “Would you be interested in discussing a role that combines recommendation modelling with deployment and on-call work?”

Use the conversation to explain the job and learn what the person wants next. Agree separately on any technical interview. Payment for an introduction does not mean the person has applied or will want the role.

Choose AmazingHiring when technical discovery and campaign outreach are the missing capabilities. Choose Instant Expert when you want to make a clear paid invitation to selected professionals; it does not replace your applicant tracking or interview process.
