Instant Expert vs Hunter: email campaigns or paid conversations?

Hunter finds and verifies emails and runs sequences. Compare that with Instant Expert’s paid calls and replies, and see when each workflow makes sense.

Choose Hunter when you need email addresses, verification or email follow-up. Choose Instant Expert when you want to offer a professional payment for a call or answer. Hunter also runs email sequences, so it can cover both finding an address and sending your campaign.

A straightforward email workflow

In Hunter, find the business email, check the address, connect your mailbox and prepare a sequence. You can schedule the initial message and follow-ups. For example, a founder selling onboarding software could use that workflow to introduce the product to onboarding managers. Hunter sequence documentation

Verification is useful when you already have a list. Hunter supports individual and bulk checks, an API and a Google Sheets add-on. It checks the address, not whether the recipient is a good match for your offer. Hunter also acknowledges that verification cannot prevent every bounce. Email Verifier

What are you paying for?

Hunter’s free plan includes 50 credits per month. Finding an email usually uses one credit; checking an existing email uses half a credit. Bulk Domain Search has a separate rule. Team members share the allowance rather than each receiving a fresh pool.

Paid plans vary by credit allowance and connected mailboxes, with monthly and annual billing choices. Set the billing period before comparing the displayed rate, and check whether you need the outreach product or API-only data access. These details were checked September 26, 2026. Hunter pricing

Instant Expert displays a price for each person’s request before you send. That offer is for participation in the proposed call or reply, rather than an email-address credit.

When to ask for a paid conversation

If the founder is still trying to understand why onboarding stalls, the useful next step may be a research call rather than a product sequence:

I’m researching stalled software implementations. Would you take a paid 30-minute call about one you personally worked on, from the first delay to what happened next? This is research, with no demo.

Look for people with relevant work in their profiles and confirm their involvement at the start of the conversation. If you only need to ask who decides whether to pause an implementation, a paid reply may suffice. The recipient chooses text or voice.

Can Hunter and Instant Expert work together?

You can bring selected known contacts into Instant Expert by CSV. A row can use name plus company, email or LinkedIn URL. You do not need to buy an additional email lookup merely to import an already-known LinkedIn profile. This is a manual transfer, not a Hunter connector.

Review the recipient, message and offer before sending. If you want to show the onboarding product, make that clear instead of describing the request as research. Use Instant Expert for that specific paid exchange, and Hunter for your continuing email campaigns.
