Instant Expert EditorialPublished Updated 3 min read

Smartlead fits a team running email campaigns from multiple mailboxes. Instant Expert fits a buyer inviting selected people to a paid call or reply. If your immediate problem is keeping track of campaign responses, Smartlead’s shared inbox is the more relevant feature. If you want a particular professional’s attention for a defined conversation, consider a paid request.

Where Smartlead helps

Smartlead sends campaigns and brings replies from connected mailboxes into its Master Inbox. You can filter by campaign, sender or tag and assign conversations to teammates. That matters when several people work on outreach and a reply could otherwise be answered twice or missed. Master Inbox

Its assignment guide gives a concrete workflow: open Master Inbox, select a lead, use Assign to, then choose the teammate who should handle the conversation. Assignment instructions

During an evaluation, walk through a typical reply with the person who will answer it. For an agency, that might be “Please send details to our finance director.” Check whether the colleague can find the original message, see which client the campaign belongs to and continue the conversation. Sending capacity alone will not answer that question.

Pricing and limits

Smartlead’s monthly prices, checked September 26, 2026, are $39 for Base, $94 for Pro, $174 for Unlimited Smart and $379 for Unlimited Prime. Base includes 2,000 stored contacts and 6,000 email sends; Pro includes 30,000 contacts and 90,000 sends. The pricing FAQ separates stored contacts from individual emails sent. Official plans

Connecting email accounts is unlimited across the plans. Email verification and other services can have separate charges, so check the full configuration you intend to use. A plan with unlimited contact storage still has an email allowance.

Instant Expert prices individual requests. You see the selected people, format and quoted amounts before sending. You are offering compensation for the requested conversation or reply, rather than buying a monthly email allowance.

A product introduction through Instant Expert

Suppose you sell software that helps agencies hand off client work. You want an agency operations lead to see a demonstration and explain whether it fits their process. An invitation could say:

I sell software for handing client work between agency teams. I’d like to pay for a 15-minute demonstration and your reaction to where it would or wouldn’t help your team.

Find relevant people in Instant Expert, read their profiles and add them to a draft. If you already have a shortlist, import email addresses, LinkedIn URLs or a CSV with names and companies. Review each price and the invitation before sending.

A reply request works better for one question that needs little back-and-forth. The recipient chooses text or voice. Keep Smartlead for ongoing campaign sending and reply handling; use a paid invitation when you can name the particular conversation you want.
