Using Instant Expert
MCP servers for expert calls: Instant Expert, Guidepoint and Third Bridge compared
MCP servers for expert calls compared: Guidepoint and Third Bridge expose transcript libraries; Instant Expert lets an agent find people and request new calls.
Three MCP servers for expert calls are worth knowing about, and they do different jobs. Guidepoint's and Third Bridge's give an AI agent search access to their libraries of past expert interview transcripts, for their clients. Instant Expert's lets an agent find specific people, prepare paid invitations for new calls or written answers, and track who replied. Neither Guidepoint's launch announcement nor Third Bridge's MCP page says an agent can arrange a new expert call through MCP.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that lets assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex call outside tools. "MCP server for expert calls" therefore means one of two things: read what experts already said, or get a new expert to answer your question. Pick the server that matches the one you need.
The three servers side by side

What an agent can do with the Instant Expert MCP server
The server lets an assistant run the whole request, from finding people to reading their replies. In plain terms, an agent can:
- Plan who to talk to. Describe your company or question, and it suggests a few audiences without searching or contacting anyone.
- Find people. Search in plain English ("20 heads of procurement at US hospital systems") or import up to 100 people you already know by LinkedIn URL, email, or name and company.
- Draft the invitations. It prepares an unsent draft with your note, the request type (a call or a written answer) and the offer for each person.
- Preview and send. On the main endpoint, it shows the order (recipients, prices, the spending cap and the saved card) and sends it once you approve. Each assistant needs paid sending turned on once.
- Track results. It reports who was invited, who booked or answered, what they said, and why any request closed.
The offer is what each person receives, from a $5 minimum. Instant Expert's fee is added on top for the buyer, so a $40 offer costs $50 if the person accepts. You pay only when someone books a call or sends an answer (MCP docs).
Three addresses matter here. https://instant.expert/mcp is the full server. https://instant.expert/claude/mcp is the version in Claude's connector directory; it stops at a review link, and you send and pay on instant.expert. https://instant.expert/mcp/test is a test mode with fictional people, no real invitations and test payments, so an agent can practice the whole flow for free.
In Claude Code, adding it is one command:
claude mcp add --transport http instant-expert https://instant.expert/mcp
Setup steps for other assistants are in the MCP docs.
What Guidepoint's MCP server does
Guidepoint announced its MCP server for Claude in May 2026. According to the announcement, research teams can pull insights from more than 100,000 expert interview transcripts into their AI workflows, with each insight linked to its source in Guidepoint360, and more than 5,000 transcripts are added each month. Clients can set controls such as off-limits lists and topic restrictions. Access goes through Guidepoint's sales team.
Guidepoint's platform page says its API and MCP bring Guidepoint data into clients' internal tools and AI environments. Scheduling calls is described as part of its separate Network product, not the MCP server. For how Guidepoint compares overall, see Instant Expert vs Guidepoint.
What Third Bridge's MCP server does
Third Bridge's MCP page describes access to 100,000+ expert transcripts directly in an assistant, retrieved in real time with citations, and compatible with ChatGPT and Claude. It is aimed at private equity, hedge funds and corporate strategy teams, and the page offers a trial request rather than published pricing. Expert calls are listed as a separate service. Which one to connect
- Your question has probably been asked before, such as how hospitals buy a well-known device or what investors think of a public company: connect a transcript library. Guidepoint and Third Bridge are built for that, if your firm is a client.
- Your question is new, or you need a particular person, such as a procurement director at one health system or the VP who ran a migration you're about to attempt: connect Instant Expert. Old transcripts can't react to your product or your situation.
They work fine side by side. An agent can read what experts said last year, then invite one of today's experts to answer the question the transcripts couldn't.
