Instant Expert vs Paradox: getting interest or booking interviews?

Paradox automates hiring steps and interview scheduling. Instant Expert helps you offer selected professionals a paid introduction. Choose by the task.

Instant Expert EditorialPublished Updated 3 min read

Paradox is worth evaluating when candidates want to interview but coordination slows them down. Instant Expert is useful when you have not yet established interest with the people you want to recruit. Scheduling the next step and proposing the first conversation are different problems.

Paradox's Conversational Scheduling connects calendars, offers interview times, handles rescheduling and sends reminders. Its broader products include applications, screening and other hiring steps.

Instant Expert lets you find professionals and invite selected people to a paid call or reply about an opportunity. It is not a substitute for coordinating a full interview process.

Give Paradox a realistic scheduling problem

Suppose an operations-director candidate needs to meet a hiring manager, a finance partner and a regional leader. The hiring-manager conversation must happen first; the other two can happen in either order.

Bring the requirements to a demo:

RequirementWhat to check
One 45-minute meeting, then two 30-minute meetingsThe itinerary respects the order and duration.
One meeting is remote; two are in personEach invitation has the right location or link.
A participant becomes unavailableThe candidate and recruiters receive one clear updated itinerary.

Ask the vendor to book the sequence, then change one person's availability. Read the resulting messages. A list of calendar integrations tells you less than seeing whether the candidate can understand the change.

Paradox advertises multi-person and multi-location scheduling. The exercise above tests your particular configuration; confirm the calendar and recruiting-system connections included in your proposal.

Approach someone who has not applied

For a leader outside your applicant pool, use Instant Expert to search for relevant operating experience or import a known contact. Review the profile, write the invitation and inspect the request price before sending.

Describe the opening, region, travel, working arrangement and salary range. Offer a paid 30-minute conversation about the role and mutual interest. If the person wants to continue, explain the formal interview process and agree on the next step.

A paid reply can handle a smaller first question, such as whether the stated role would be worth discussing. The recipient chooses text or voice. Payment covers the requested exchange; it does not obligate them to apply.

How to compare costs

Paradox's reviewed pages direct buyers to a demo without listing a numeric rate. Request a quote for the modules and integrations you need. A scheduling addition to an existing system is a different purchase from a broader hiring platform.

Instant Expert shows individual request prices. Budget those invitations separately from later interview coordination. If applicants are already waiting to meet you, start with the scheduling problem. If you first need to interest a few relevant people, prepare a specific paid invitation.
